Let the Bible do the Teaching!
 Many people may seek for the teaching of a man concerning the word of God due to the fact that they may know not of how to listen to the text of the Bible. Therefore I find the law that many people lack the true understanding that they may have their part of the book of life. Lets study!
 2 Timothy 2:15, “Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth”. This Bible text should inspire you and I to study that we can have our part of the book of life. Though this text was written by the Apostle Paul for the eyes of Timothy in order that Paul would be able to strengthen the work of Timothy in his establishing of the congregation, I find the law here that we also may be able to show our selves approved by studying the Bible today. I write to you that the text here may be able to assist you in your future studies of God’s word. 
As you may know, there are some portions of the Bible text which is not so hard to understand that we read and I would that you understand those portions of the Bible to be what is called “surface structure” text.  A good example of this is when we read the above text we can see the word study and instantly know that we need to read and understand. However I find the law that we need to be mindful of another portion of the text which is not seen by eye site. This type of text is called “Sub-surface structure” text. This is when the in site of the text or the true meaning is hidden in the text. A good example of this is that we must know that this kind comes only by prayer and fasting and that a great deal of proper studying requires for one to pray and fast from those things that will try to block out your true understanding, such as a television while you read God’s word.
 In order to properly understand the Bible one must allow their observation antennas to rise while reading, that we must observe the text without interruptions. We all have a since of Observation which when one simply notice the things that are seen and acknowledges which type of thing it is that we see. A good example of observation is the ability to see a car and not mistake it for a train. I find the law for those with the ability to determine if a machine is a car and not a train, then the same is able to observe God’s word. The word “structure” is simply the text that is put together that we read. We must keep in mind that written text is just another frame of art, and that art is simply a way which one expresses what is on his mind. I find the law that to simply read with the intent to know what was on the authors mind is a basic requirement that we will gathers a better understanding of the text structure.
 Now that we do know of one important thing to read for, lets focus on other important issues of our studying. It is true that in any thing that we may do, we do that thing in a certain way, that is that we do have a method of doing whatever it is that we do. An example is that some times we may add sugar to coffee before adding cream, while yet in other times we may add cream prior to adding sugar. Nevertheless in both cases we made a cup of coffee. I find the law here that it would be vital that we are able to identify our methods of reading that we may be able to allow this method of reading to be maximized in our understanding of God’s word. A good way to identify the methods in which we are reading would be that we acknowledge the structures of the text that would be absorb and remember when we read slow and meditate, and to compare this to those portions of the text that would stand our when we read faster in our seeking for a certain scripture. Once one is able to identify exactly how it is that they are reading, then I find the law that one has began to do what we would call “Methodical Bible Study”.  I would identify methodical Bible study as being the proper path in which we will take in order to arrive to the true meaning and understanding of the Bible text. It would need to be clarified that there are portions of methodical studying which must be understood in order to be able to master studying the Bible. First of all we would need to know that inductive Bible study is a necessary approach and is the means by which the objective is reached. One approach of inductive study is the approach of deduction. This approach begins with generalizations and moves towards support for the particulars of the Bible text. This method is one which tends to be subjective and prejudicial , and produces those who dictates the scriptures rather than those who listen to the scripture. Another method of inductive study is called induction, which is objective and impartial; for it demands that one first examine the particulars of the scriptures and then base a conclusion on those particulars. I find the law that it better to observe the facts and then meditate on those facts prior to concluding the meaning of any given Bible text.

Why is the “birthright” so important in Genesis?

 Gen 25: 29, “And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint”. This verse shows us that Jacob had food prepared and that his brother Esau had been in the field, maybe working that there would be more food for the family at a later date. In this verse I can see two brothers who worked with food, Jacob the cook and Esau the farmer. Also in this text I understand that the farmer was hungry and tired.
 Gen 26: 30, “And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: there for was he name called Edom”. Here in this text Esau not only asked but prayed that his brother Jacob would give him some of the food which Jacob had prepared. When I read this scripture I think of “Galatians 5: 14”, and “James 2: 15-16”. I can imagine Esau working in the field with no food but to ensure that there would be food for someone else to cook in harvest season. Here I understand this text as though there should have never been a reason for Esau to have need of asking or begging his brother for food. I wonder what was on Jacob’s mind while he was preparing the food, was he thinking of his brother or his neighbor’s need in times of hunger or was he thinking only of feeding himself and maybe someone other than his own brother who worked the field all day. Maybe Jacob was thinking of himself as deserving to own the birthright due to the fact that he was the one to do the cooking of the food, and yet overlooking the fact that the food which had to be prepared would need to be provided from the field in order that he would be able to prepare it in the home.
 Gen 25: 30, “And Jacob said, sell me this day thy birthright”.  Jacob seem to have a desire to benefit from his preparing of the food and his desires were more than just minimum wages, Jacob told Esau to sell his birthright. What was so important about the birthright that Jacob would allow his own brother to starve unless Esau sold the birthright to Jacob?
 The advantages of having the birthright were; that one would have special privileges and more responsibilities as being the first born. The one to have the birthright was the one to gain special affection, which means more attention. The one to have the birthright would legally receive a double portion of his father’s estates. I find the law here that Jacob was breaking God’s entire law (Gal 5:14), in order that he would be able to be the legal recipient of his father’s estates. So many times people are willing to do wrong by God that they are able to claim material wealth of this world legally. The one to have the birthright was to be the one to provide food, clothing, and other necessities for his mother until her death and all unmarried sisters until their marriage. I find the law here that Jacob was a preparer of the food and not a provider, Jacob was not the one to do the hunting for skins that would clothe and was at the time not qualified to carry the birthright.
Gen 25: 32, “And Esau said, behold I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me”? Scholars say that Esau despised his birthright, mainly confirmed in the text of “Heb. 12: 16”. Even so in today’s world people will tend to give away God’s blessing that will not show them favor when they feel as though favor is vital. I find the law in this study that the scripture are filled yet in our daily lives and that if only we would hearken to God and forget the promises of man that the birthright would profit nothing compared to the rebirth (see John 3:7). Therefore the importance of the birthright in Genesis is that we learn to do right, even in suffering, staying on the Lord’s side, because God will choose those who are on his side, (Exod. 32:26, Num 8: 14-18).
 Once we have begin to read with the understanding of observation, we can prepare our minds for the next step which is interpretation. At this point we will no longer only read the Bible but we will begin to do what is called Bible study. The over all goal of Bible study is not simply to determine what it says and what it means, but to be able to apply this text to our lives. We use the Bible for information and insight. Interpretation is the step that moves us from reading and observing the text on to applying and living it out. Sometimes people will read a book to occupy time or change their thoughts. When we study the Bible in our readings, we are reading with our hearts and not just our eyes to pass time. This is what produces spiritual maturity in our lives. I find the law that a Pastor's duty would consist of a gift from God that will allow for the growth of the sheep when they eat. The word from a Pastor should be a word which will motivate the sheep to read the Bible with their hearts that they will grow. No pastor should attempt to keep a sheep without growth, which means that a true minister of God's word would not restrict his sheep from their own growth.
 I have found the need that we now would learn to look at a figure of speech in Bible text more in detail. Many people may have false understanding of the true meaning of portions of the text in the Bible due to their lack of focus on the figure of speech of the text. Below I have created some material which may help us all to better understand figures of speeches in the Bible.

Word of phrase that describes one thing in terms of another and that is not meant to be understood on a literal level. Always involves some sort or imaginative comparison between seemingly unlike things. (See simile, metaphor, personification)
A verbal expression in which words or sounds are arranged in a particular way to achieve a particular effect. Figures of speech are organized into different categories, such as alliteration, assonance, metaphor, metonymy, onomatopoeia, simile, and synecdoche.
A mode of expression in which words are used out of their literal meaning or out of their ordinary use in order to add beauty or emotional intensity or to transfer the poet's sense impressions by comparing or identifying one thing with another that has a meaning familiar to the reader. ...

Euphemism n. The act or an example of substituting a mild, indirect, or vague term for one considered harsh, blunt, or offensive:

Synecdoche n. A figure of speech in which a part is used for the whole (as hand for sailor), the whole for a part (as the law for police officer),
Looking at the figure of speech

Matt 26: 26    "And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, “Take, eat; this is My body.” The figure of speech of this text would be “this is my body”.  The bread is to be considered as the body of Jesus and his body is to be received as the bread.  This would also help in understanding what Jesus meant when he said “I am the bread of life” (John 6:35).  In John 6:26-27, we can see that people will easy forsake the spirituality of bread for the food of the world which will cause one to follow another. This is why understanding a figure of speech is vital that we are able to minister the gospel of Jesus, even though we know that others will follow with the eyes of the flesh we must receive them and minister to them that they will eat that living bread!
Ruth 2:12  "The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” Here in this text there are two figure of speeches that may be acknowledged with the first being “a full reward”. This would be viewed of the world as a pay check on Friday after working hard all week. However by the text and the spirit I would that the text is viewed as one who has simply found favor in another by the grace of God, because in verse 8 we can see that Ruth was requested not to go into another field? Boaz had taken a like to Ruth due to the spirit of God in himself and her hard work was well noticed by him. Ruth may have went to another man’s field and worked even harder but yet not found any favor in the owner as she had in Boaz. There are many cases in today’s world where people will do less work and find more favor in the boss than those to work their fingers to the bone from sun up to sun down on the same job. This is that it is the spirit of God which produces a love for a person and not the amount of labor produced by a person.
 The second figure of speech in this text would be “under whose wings. By the world we would see Jesus with wings like a bird. I find the law here that by the spirit this text would speak of wings that one would understand the duty of wings. Wings are what will allow a bird to sore high above other creatures without wings. Therefore by being under God’s wings Ruth would be able to advance higher in the field of Boaz than she would in another owner’s field. This is that the wings would actually stand for God.
Gen 4:1  "Now Adam knew Eve his wife, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, I have acquired a man from the LORD.” In this text the first figure of speech would be in the word “knew.  This in today’s world would simply mean to know one’s name or detailed information of a person. However in the above text we can see that when he knew her she became pregnant, and this would imply that the word “knew” in this text would mean to have sexual relations with her.
The second figure of speech would be “a man of the Lord. In today’s world this portion of the text would imply a preacher or a Pastor. Because of the fact that Cain killed his brother (v8), we should look deeper in to the text of the Bible and understand that the first born male was to be set aside for the Lord (Exod.13:2, 13; Num 3: 12-13), and we should also keep in mind the text in Luke 2:23. This will give us a better understanding of what Eve really means when she said “a man of the Lord”.
Amos 3:3-4 “Can two walk together except they be agreed? Will a Lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? Will a young Lion cry out of his den, if he hath taken nothing?" The text here is 100% figure of speech which may be applied to our life for understand as God will allow it. The two walking together without agreeing does simulate the picture of two people that are arguing while trying to travel the same path. However I would see this text as those to be disobedient to God as walking away from God in their minds. The lion roaring in the forest would simulate the fact that God’s anger would be as a Lion which would prepare to devour its enemy. We should keep in mind that the enemy is not the flesh of a man (Eph.  6:12). this will allow for one to see God preparing to defeat the ultimate enemy. The last section of the above text speaks of a baby lion. There is not away for a baby lion to even cry out and surely not a way that the baby lion would be able to come out of the den unless food is given by the parent for the nourishing of the baby lion. We then should be allow to see God as our provider that we may even be able to speak a word, as well as to be strong enough to provide for our own kids that we all could come through the storm or come out of the den.
 II Thess. 3:2    "and that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith." In this text instead of seeing another as a sinner by the things that he/she may do which I may not indulge in, I would see this text as a message to myself that none can be found that is not lost. When seeing the inner core of this text one may be able to realize that even though there are those who may be doing things which seem crazy, or speaking words to hurt, nothing shall move the love of Christ from thy heart, (see Rom. 8:38-39).
Now I would like to go more in-depth with you that this study would allow for you to be able to review the above text and determine which figure of speech is there. One way to identify a figure of speech when we read is that something may seem strange or it raises our antennas all at once. There are many forms of figures of speeches.
 Some figures of speeches may involve comparison such as, a simile which is a comparison in which one thing explicitly resembles another. Similes will use a word such as "like". Then we have a metaphor which is a comparison where one thing is, acts like, or represents another even though the two objects are really unlike. In a metaphor the comparison is implicit, but in a simile the comparison is explicit. In metaphors look for verbs such as "is, are, was, were, or have been". Then there is Hypocatastasis which is used when the lesser-known figure of speech may be a comparison in which the likeness is implied by a direct naming, such as in Philippians 3:2 where false teachers are referred to as dogs.
 There are figures of speeches which may involve substitution such as, Metonymy that is the substituting of one word for another. Then we have Synecdoche which is the substitution of a part of something for the whole, or the whole for the part. Then there is Merism which is a form of Synecdoche in which the whole is substituted by two contrasting or opposite parts. Then there is Hendiadys which is the substituting of two coordinate terms for a single concept in which one of the elements define the other. Then there is is personification which is the ascribing of human characteristics or actions to inanimate objects or ideals or to animals. Then there is Anthropomorphism which is the ascribing of human characteristics or actions to God. Then there is Zoomorphism which ascribes animal characteristics to God, or to others. Then there is Apostrophe which is a direct address to an object as if if were a person, or to an absent or imaginary person as if the person was present. Then there is Euphemism which is the substitution of an inoffensive or mild expression for an offensive or personal one.
 Some figures of speech involve omission or suppression such as, Ellipsis which is an omission of a word or words that must be supplied to complete the sentence grammatically. Then there is Zeugma which is the joining of two nouns to one verb when logically only one of the nouns go with the verb. Then there is Aposiopesis which is a sudden break in the sentence as if the speaker was not able to finish. Then there is rhetorical question which is when a question is asked which does not require a verbal response.
 Some figure of speeches is overstatements or understatements such as Hyperbole which is a deliberate exaggeration where more may be said that is literally meant. Then there is Litotes which is an understatement or a negative statement to express an affirmation. Then there is Irony which is a kind of ridicule expressed indirectly in the form of a compliment.
 Now that we have cover much of figure of speech ai would like to begin in preparing for interperting by understanding of literacy. I have designed a lesson that may help many in their imagination process as well as understand the teaching of the bible to follow:
Isaac in The Bible

Isaac would seem to have more favor towards his first son to be born which was Esau (25:27). This is important to note due to the understanding of chapter 27 as an entire. In the first two verses of chapter 27the main focus would be that Isaac had become an old man who may have only been able to wish for the best for his love ones after he had passed. It would seem that Isaac considered his last day to be soon and may be safe to assume that Isaac’s last thoughts were on his stomach, and that his spiritual condition had apparently seriously deteriorated (Phil. 3:18-19). I do find a law of a lesson in verse 3 and 4, that we as servants shall not deny that Isaac could have blessed Esau right away. However the fact that Esau was instructed to serve in his duties by providing some food that Isaac loved would clearly show us today that we must serve in order that we may be blessed and also that our service should be of that which is loved and not hated. Verse 5-14 shows that even others who may know of a thing that we may love can and will use this as a weapon to destroy our attempt to do what is right in our heart for another. Isaac would seem to be a loving and caring father and man of the family only to be deceived by someone whom he loved. Isaac also was a man of faith (2 Cor. 5:7), for he could not see and could have had both sons present before he blessed either son to ensure that he was blessing his first born and not his second born (Gen. 27:22).
After the blessing of his sons, Isaac drops completely out of the picture of biblical account, even though he lived another 43 years. Isaac was not a man who dreamed dreams and conquered continents. Isaac can be described as the mediocre son of a great father, and the mediocre father of a great son.
 Isaac’s importance in the author’s writing would then be that of the seed promise.
Much of the Bible which may be vital but hard to understand for many people would be the books of Proverbs, and Psalm. These books are so helpful due to the fact that they teach us how to live on earth as well as how to speak to God. Much of the text of these books is written in what is called a Hebrew Parallelism form. This is a form of written which would allow the imagination of the reader to get involved into their understanding of the text. Parallelism may be defined as text used whereby two or more successive poetic lines dynamically strengthen, reinforce, and develop each other’s thoughts. There are three types of parallelisms; Synonymous, antithetical, and synthetic. We may detail these types of parallelisms in later studies but for now I would like to present a study below which may self explain much need information in our developing a better understanding of the poetry of Bible text by the use of parallelism.
 
Identify two different forms of parallelism from Psalm 35 and explain these instances of parallelism. Also from this psalm, identify two figures of speech and explain the writer's purpose for using these two figures of speech in the psalm.
  In this study, I have chosen this study of Psalms 35 which I have composed for another study. I think that many people are lost at what the authors of the Bible really felt in their hearts due to trying to understand the text without the Holy Spirit leading our understanding of God’s law in the text. I really do not think that God sent Jesus to pay for our sin, our hate, envy spirits and so on….., that he would leave us tangled in the such of today’s world. I think that many people pray and know not the true meaning of the prayer which results in unanswered prayers. This study of praying against people is one that I feel should be omitted from the teaching of servants of God. We must remember that God is spirit, love and light and always follow this in our prayers. We must be mindful that the Lord had yet to come in the flesh when the following Psalms in study was penned, and now see this Psalms below as if the Lord’s death and rising be not in vain! The following text may be hard to swallow but I do find the law of truth in it. Psalm 35:1 “Plead my cause, O Lord, with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me”. This verse may be viewed as a form of contrast parallelism and would be indentified as (A=B). A good way to explain this is that the author begins by seeking for help from God in his cause which would simply mean, (his efforts, or his works).The author would then seem to have total faith that he is doing a thing which he know is right by God. Therefore the author would conclude section “A”, by including other members who would be following in his own steps that God would be for them as well. The Lord is summoned to strive with the author and those to be on one accord with the author. However the contrast is made evident at the beginning of section “B” of this text, where the author pleads to God that God would fight. Here the author would have God to fight against those to be against the author and others to be in line with the author. Since to strive for is a contrast statement of fighting against, the author may have seen a future development of evil in others to be established for whatever reason, not to exclude a fault of his own, and would have wrote this text that it would strengthen his members belief in God by acknowledging God as the one to be with him as well as the one to fight his battle. Psalm 35:4 “Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: Let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt”. This text is semantically parallel because both A and B sections would give the Lord the same mission that would accomplish all that is requested of the author. The term confound would mean to be brought to dishonor such as to be put in jail of less respected of the people to compass the issue at hand. To be turned back would be a figure of speech which would give the reader of this text a picture of a person whom is rejected by all means. The phrases “be confounded” and “be turned back” are then two different phrases with the same basic meanings. The author would also clarify those to be confounded and turned back as those to seek after his soul. Many may view this text as only a plea to God against another man; however I find the law that the enemy would be the focus of this text and not just another person. We know that it is the devil which seeks after the soul of a human and that neither God nor the devil would be a man but either may abide in a human. The author ends section B by speaking of the ones to devise his hurt, meaning those who seek to do harm to him. Therefore those to seek his soul and those to devise his hurt would be parallel to one another. This text can be used for self as well as for a neighbor. One must first conduct himself in such a manner that he would not allow the enemy to prevail within himself that his own neighbors would turn into his enemies. I find the law that this Psalm as well as others would be better understood if one would only look at the one to really matter though he/she is just a reader, the text would do better with understanding of self first. Jesus instructs us to pray for those to be against us, and he was clearly speaking of others of this world. Then it would only make sense to see the author as one who was asking God to be against the spirit of the enemy within himself that he would have favor in his neighbors who were here on earth that they would not put him to shame. The text then as an entire may very well be viewed as implicit parallelism. Psalm 35:8, 9, “Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord: it shall rejoice in his salvation”.  In this text, “the net that he hath hid”, would be a figure of speech. This text also may clarify a better understanding that a man would then only be able to rejoice in the Lord once his enemy has fallen. The key word in this text that may assist one in identifying the enemy would then be “himself”.  To know the entire law of God one must read Gal. 5:14, then would one be able to see inside the text well enough to recognize the importance of the net hidden by one from his own self, due to judging of another, just as they mocked our Lord!WE NEED TO LET OUR LIGHT SHINE THAT OTHERS WHO ARE IN DARK CAN SEE AND HAVE A LIGHT TO SHINE. LOVE COVERS A MUTITUDE OF SIN. 
  
 I will conclude this section of studying of allowing the Bible to teach that you may be able to stay with this study as it will progress with additional text to teach us how to;
