SOMETHING NEW HAS TO COME!
Many people will spend a lifetime getting old without realizing that there is something new in life for them. It is so, that we have found favor in our own traditions of life, that one would value himself according to the measures of others concerning himself. That is to say that people will often be more mindful of what another person may feel or have to say about them, and then I would find the law that those of such, would be neglecting or wanting of their own happiness in their own lives. LETS STUDY!
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature, old things are passed away; behold all things are become new”. There are many people who say that they know and love Jesus, they assemble in numbers as their own form of worship to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, but then walk outside of this worship in their daily lives. A prime example is that one would be a choir member gifted to sing the gospel on Sunday, but then turn to proclaim that he spit game to a sexy or fine lady at the mall on Monday. I find the law here that there is a lost perception of Jesus, truly. Once you have become a new man because of Jesus, then your views of a woman will change as well as the way that you conduct yourself in meeting her. You no longer assume that your own approach to this lady is called spitting game, but that you simply introduced yourself to her. She will no longer be spoken of as a sexy or fine lady, but clearly spoken of as a woman of attraction. In many cases the reasons for lost perceptions are because people will speak about someone else to someone else with only respect to how someone else has spoken or would desire to be spoken too. Here I find the law that people will not be new in Christ, because they speak not Christ like in their own lives.
2 Corinthians 5:16, “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more”. Once we have come to know Jesus, who is no longer in the flesh but is of the spirit, then we begin to have a new look when we look, a new thought when we think, we have now even so a new word when we speak. This is not because of the flesh that we abide in but the spirit which we now believe in. This flesh is dead and Christ is alive, and I would have you know that this is a daily way of a new life in Christ, (see 1 Corinthians 15:31). We now know that the spirit lives in the dead flesh that grows old and withers away. Would it then be good that such a focus be placed on what is already crucified other than Jesus, God forbid.
Galatians 5:24-26, “And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections of lust. If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another”. I find the law here that if you belong to Christ then you are of Christ and live a new life every day in this old flesh. The game you once spit has become the Gospel you now speak, the hate you once had for your brother is now the love that you hold for your neighbor, the curse words that you spoke, have been washed with the blessed words that you speak, the thought of envy are now meditations of blessings. Here we have repentance and I would that you know that once you are converted then you will repent from sin just as God repented from making man in Genesis 6:5-6, so will you destroy sin in your life. I find the law here that if you are truly converted then your old ways of sin are not only dead but you asked for forgiveness, and turned and walked away from even the grave sites of your own sin. Which is to say that onehas truly repented?
Galatians 2:20, “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me”. Here I find a law that we no longer have a focus on what someone else thinks or says about us but our focus in on what Christ has done for us. When we are crucified with Christ then we are crucified for even those who hate us or mock us, to the limit of love that we ask forgiveness of such who would be our very own enemy. I find that it is here that all things have become new in the life of this old dead flesh. Being crucified with Christ frees you from the law because Christ obeyed the law and died for you, and those who break the law, and therefore you whom Christ live in can no longer break the law. When one says that Christ lives in him then he acknowledges that those old sins are dead and buried because Christ is without sin.
Matthew 13:47-52, “Again the Kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from amonst the just, And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gashing of teeth. Jesus saith unto them, Have ye understood all these things? They say unto him, yea, Lord. Then said he unto them, therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is a householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasures things new and old”. I would have you to know that the kingdom of heaven and the kingdom of God refer to the whole body of believers. There are seven parables from Jesus in Matthew 13, and they describe the course of this age. First there will come a period of sowing the gospel throughout the world, (see Matthew 13: 1- 23). Second the devil will make his move in trying to stop the gospel from spreading, (see Matthew 13: 24-30, 36-43). Third there will be an outward growth of Christendom, but not necessarily from the true church. It may grow from insignificant beginnings to expert worldwide influence, (see Matthew 13: 31-32). The fourth parable of Leaven is the principle of corruption which contrasts true doctrine with the false doctrine sown by a corrupt church in an unconverted world, (see Matthew 13:33-35). The fifth parable is Christ seeking the lost in the entire world, (see Matthew 13:44). The sixth parable represents Christ finding the church, (see Matthew 13:44-46). The seventh parable is about God’s final Judgment, (see Matthew 13: 47-52)
THE FLESH IS GETTING OLD
IS YOUR SPIRIT RENEWED?
They Trap Men!
I can recall years ago when young men of today’s world began to wear their pants saggy, and they were always talking about going to the trap. A rapper had a hit song out called “Dope Boys in the Trap”. Young men would walk around talking about the trap as if it was a new thing made up by them and that this was so cool. I found them only to be young fools preaching the bible! Lets study! Ecclesiastes 1: 9 “The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” This verse was written by the Solomon, the son of David. We know that Solomon had precious wisdom and knowledge that he received from the Lord. Well in the above verse, he had become a preacher and he said that there is no new thing under the sun. After reading this, I began to search for the trap in the bible.Jeremiah 5: 25-28, “Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you. For among my people are found wicked men: They lay wait, as he that setteth snares; they set a trap, they catch men. As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit: therefore they are become great, and waxen rich. They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause of the fatherless, yet they prosper, and the right of the needy do they not judge.” I soon learned that the trap which the young men that I've heard speak of was actually nothing but a crack house. The above bible text fits this description to a T! I find the law that for those young men in jail today because they were living their life in the trap should have had this word in their heart, they should have been taught of God’s word, and because of their lack of knowledge, good things are being with held from them including their freedom. Drug dealers do not want to go to work, they want to lay await at home and cook up dope to sale to their brothers so that they can trap them in their homes until they have no more money to spend on dope. This is why they call it a trap! The bible is so true, drug dealers are the ones that shine with all gold and silver in their mouth. In today’s world they call it bling bling. They are the ones that do not care about the children of those trapped in their house on dope, they care not that the addicts children are at home hungry. I find the law that those which call themselves trapping are now the ones trapped in jail, and they wonder why! Proverbs 28: 10 “Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.” I find the law here that for those drug dealers who once were trapping men but are now in jail, they were only setting a trap for themselves.
People who trap men, end up in their own trap, people who bless men are the ones that will be blessed!!!!!
Kids obey the Law
Many people in today’s world may fail to understand that God has a law for all kids to obey. There are many people who may really desire to trust in God and to obey the word of God. However for a lack of knowledge many of these people may be unable to fulfill their own heart’s desires in serving God by being obedient to God’s word.
Exodus 20: 12, "Honor thy Father and thy Mother: that that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee”. This is the fifth commandment of the Lord which was given to Moses from God. When we speak about God’s commandments, we are referring to the law of God! God wants all children to know how to live longer here on earth. When I was a child, I never wanted to die, and I can imagine that the same thoughts are in the minds of our children of today’s world. God made this law plain and simple for kids to be able to understand that if they would honor their parents then God’s word says that they will live longer. Honoring Parents means to love our parents in our hearts, to respect our parents, to treat our parents as if they are in control of us, and to obey our parents.
There are so many young people in jail today and even in their graves today, because they were disobedient to their parents and God’s word. We can see the evidence of the truth in God’s word, but yet many will pay it little or no mind until the day that the word hits home! Once God’s word comes to pass, the very first thing most people will do is to get on their knees and say, “God why me, why my child”. I find the law that the answer to such questions are in most cases in the same place that it has always been, the Bible.
Psalm 78: 1-7, “Give ear, o my people, to my law: incline your ears to the words of my mouth. I will open my mouth in parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: which we have heard and known, and our Fathers have told us. We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done. For he established a testimony in Jacob , and appointed a law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: that they might set their hope in God , and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:”. To explain this Bible text plain and simple, I would not want to be the reason that my child went to hell! Any person with kids must understand that we are also kids, we are God’s children, and we must acknowledge this in our minds to the point that we obey this Bible text. God say teach your kids about him! If you choose to teach your kids about God or not, it is your choice, however the text states that if you choose not to teach your kids about God then the child will have no hope in God. This means that we control if our kids truly believe in God or not. Remember this that he that is not for God is against God. I refuse to have my child against God, what about you? Do you want your child to go to heaven, or do you care if your child goes to hell, ask yourself this?
Ephesians 6: 13, “Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honor thy father and thy mother; which is the first commandment with promise; that it may be well with thee, and thy mayest live long on earth”. This is for all kids to obey. Even though this was the fifth commandment, it was the first with a promise. This means that God’s first promise of the ten commandments was to us kids, and the promise was that we would live long if we honor and obey our parents! The Bible says to obey your parents in the Lord, therefore it is important for our parents to be in the Lord and that they teach us about God!
We all must obey!
